• GD’26 – Imps love sunshine

From 28th of May till 1st of June 2026, almost 50 imps returned to De Jerden in Sloten. After a week of cold and rainy wheather, the GD’26 was flooded with sunshine.

Two drives on Friday and Saterday were prepared and they offered both Nature (with the National Park De Weerribben) as Culture en craftmanship with the Sawmill in Sneek.

On sunday the Imps were parked at the field for a Show and Shine, and all impers followed the city announcer for a guided tour trough Sloten.

The big tent on the field proved to be a great gathering place and kept us together till the early hours, while the drinks evaporated due to the heat and the laughs. Thanks to Dom for keeping the bar open, ánd for adding music to the spectacle.

The organizing committee look back on a very succesfull weekend, and we hope that all attendees will confirm that. We’ve put the agenda’s together and set the date for the GD’28 on May 18-22.

  • Trial weekend succesfull, preps finalized

Last weekend the GD’26 committee travelled to Sloten to check all arrangements with the our hosts at The Jerden, and to get ourselfs in the GD’26 mood. It didn’t take long. A warm welcome by Steven and Klaziena and an upgraded field quickly sparked our joy. On Saterday we drove both rides in two separate groups to check and improve the instructions in order to ensure everyone will find it’s way through the Frisan scenery during the GD’26.

De Jerden confirmed that they’ll be serving breakfast again and that the field will be equiped with beer tap to ensure we stay hydrated ;-).

  • Registration GD’26 is open!

This evening, on January 19th, the GD committee finilized the first wave of preps. We’ve introduced Fred Schukkink in the organising team and opened the registration form.

We’re very pleased to see that some of our regulars we’re living up to this moment and we congratulate Bazz with beeing the first official attendee of GD’26!

While you guys register for the GD in the upcoming weeks, we’ll continue prepping routes and activities for the weekend.

  • Thanks! Can’t wait for GD’26
